For three weeks our home has been visited.  It's an evening visitor that none of us want here.  It arrives just around 9 pm and shows up all night long.

I want to stress here that I am pro-teacher, pro-education, and pro-parental involvement. Just want to make that disclaimer. I’m all about a good education.  It’s the foundation of life. I’m all about foundations too. We value education and foundations strongly in our family. I respect parents, teachers, education, and foundations.   Let’s get that out there.

Finally after a week of feeling awful, I went to the doctor for Valentine's day.  Bronchitis.  Ear infection.  Sinus infection.  The doctor said I needed to go home and go to bed.  I told him I was better off at work because I can't go home and go to bed, I have children who need me.  He gave me antibiotics and I went back to work.  After a Valentine's Day lunch with Kenneth and Lesley, I went back to work and got a phone call.  Baby sick, running a fever.

We are on our own.  Wilson's expression when I tell him we are on our own looks like a military commander who has just learned there are no reinforcements or provisions on the way during a losing battle.  Welcome to influenza.

If you love something, set it free.  If it comes back to you that means it needs its luggage and the airlines are trying to save fuel.

I love Texas in the Springtime.  I love Texas in the Fall.  I love Texas in the winter when it's chilly...  But I hate Texas in the Summer...

They all move on.  We stay put - and consider taking out ads for new friends.

She's aptly named Callie.  "Kali" is the Hindu black goddess of destruction...  We should have known.
