His Mother's Keeper

A while back somehow the idea of going out with friends or going out on dates came up at some party the four of us were at.  I suppose I said to someone that I don't go on many dates and I guess it may have come up that all of my friends were at my job, so since quitting work I haven't gone out with any friends.  Will came and got me the other day.  He had paused the commercial on tv.

"I paused this for you because I think it would be a good way for you to get out and meet people who share your interests."

I was interested.  I sat down as he pushed play and an E-HARMONY COMMERCIAL came on.

"Ummmm."  Was about all I could say.  When Chris got home later I told him we needed to go out on more dates before Will learned how to sign me up for an online dating service.

Then, last night we were in line at a drive-thru window and Will said "Hey, remember when you used to go get manicures and your nails were really pretty?"

"Yeah."

"You really ought to think about doing that again.  Have you seen your nails?"

I'm not sure if I should be flattered that he's worried about me or if I should be worried that he's worried about me.

Maybe if you didn't work in a field your nails wouldn't look so bad. Love your blog by the way. I've become a big fan.
