The McDonald's Matinee Performance

After the bluebonnet photos were taken we asked the kids where they wanted to eat lunch.  Kerry-Lea wanted McDonald's so Lesley and Chris placed the order while I took the four kids and found a seat.

Several elderly people are sitting nearby us.  The restaurant is full of serene looking elderly people who have spent a very cold Saturday looking at bluebonnets.  These kind, serene elderly people comment to me on how nice and polite and well behaved my four children are.  I smile, not really wanting to get into it that only two of the four are mine.  I tell them thank you and my "four angelic children" attempt to keep themselves busy while waiting for food.

The boys decide to play a game.

Now the serene elderly people, tired from the cold Bluebonnet festival are enjoying a free show at the Ennis McDonalds.  The boys started playing "Pretend".

Brandon held Will in a head-lock and said "Give me the money you took!"

Will said "I don't have the money, Man."

"You took my money and I want it back!"

"I don't have your money, Man!"

"Give me the money you owe me!  What did you do with the money!"

Several elderly people are watching this drama unfold with an amused look.  Others look a bit worried when Brandon takes out Lesley's foldable hairbrush and holds it to Wilson like a weapon.   Wilson says "Dude, don't cut my face!"

"Where's the money?!"

Wilson shouts out "I lost it all at Black Jack!"

The old people are no longer smiling at my "angelic children".  I take the brush/weapon away, smile and say "Only two of these kids are actually mine."  I put my arms around Kerry-Lea and Reagan.  The elderly people shoot Lesley a strange look when she comes back to the table like they just know she's the sort of mom who has a booky and a gambling problem.
