Will has a favorite game we play while dinner is cooking.  We say a word and he has to tell you what that word starts with and then he comes up with several other words that start with the same letter.  It's a fun game and we take turns. 

"Ok Mommy, your turn."

"Baseball."

"Ummmm.  B.  Bat.  Butter.  Ball.  Baby."

"Good job!"

"Ok Mom, now it's my turn."

"Ok."

"Mom, does sarcophagus start with a C or an S?"

"Sarcophagus?"

"Yes."

"Well......"  I was pretty sure it was a S, but then I wasn't completely sure.  Then I wondered why he couldn't come up with some word like cat or frisbee.  Sarcophagus?  No more History Channel for him!

"Mom, do you know how to spell sarcophagus or not?"

This is it.  This is the moment I've been dreading.  This is the moment when he knows, without a doubt, his mom doesn't know everything. 

"Can you spell it?"  I asked. 

"No."

"Then we can't use it in the game."

It at least bought me enough time to look up the spelling in the dictionary.  It starts with a S.  Just in case you ever need to know.
